Dudjom Lingpa Terma Phurba by Natsog Dorje (Steel-Meteorite Blade)
Dudjom Lingpa Terma Phurba by Natsog Dorje (Steel-Meteorite Blade)
This masterpiece practice implement was modeled after a phurba found in one of Dudjom Lingpa's termas. "Terma" is the Tibetan word for a Dharma treasure full of teachings and practices for our present time hidden by Padmasambhava and his disciples. This phurba was made by the renowned Buddhist workshop, Natsog Dorje, which is an artisan sculpture studio and foundry workshop dedicated to developing entirely authentic ritual objects and images to support the Vajrayana Secret Mantra practices. A horse's head protrudes from the base of the handle, signifying the deity Hayagriva. Hayagriva is an incredibly effective practice for turbulent times, working quickly to restore balance and bring benefit to beings’ minds (and thus the outer elements), while also able to cure disease and eliminate demonic forces. Padmasambhava himself achieved deathlessness through practicing Hayagriva.
The blade on this phurba is made from steel mixed with meteorite.
