Wind is the natural element of the horse. As it gallops forward, the wind rises to meet it, and its mane and tail flow freely as it speeds along. Prayers are carried on the wind, and prayer flags are often known as 'lung-ta' (wind horse). Lung-ta prayer flags are flown to increase harmony, healing energy, prosperity, and well-being for oneself and all beings.
