Malachite Teardrop Pendant

Malachite derives it's name from the Greek "molochites lithos," which means "mallow-green stone." This was due to the fact that the gemstone formation resembled the leaves of the mallow plant. The most vivid of all green stones, Malachite has been used for healing for centuries. It is a protection stone used to balance the energies of the heart as well as to guard against negative energies and pollutants. This particular piece is shaped like a large teardrop, and mounted on to an ornate silver backing. The stone itself has an array of dark emerald shades with subtle striation lines typical of Malachite mirroring the natural curve of the stone. An absolutely beautiful relic of mother nature!
