Troma Nagmo Statue, Oxidized Copper, 14.5"
Troma Nagmo Statue, Oxidized Copper, 14.5"
Troma Nagmo (Wrathful Black Mother) is a feminine embodiment of wisdom who liberates all phenomena in its own place-- shattering our ego-clinging. Tröma Nagmo is the innermost secret aspect of the Khandro (Dakini) practice in the Dudjom Tersar lineage. The Chöd practice of Tröma Nagmo provides us with an extremely powerful means to cut through the dualistic clinging of mind, the root of suffering, thus revealing our inherent wisdom nature. Made of a dark copper, found deep within the heart of mother earth, this powerful statue resembles the likeness of Troma Nagmo exquisitely. From the way that her hand delicately holds her driguk (ritual Dakini blade), to her parted lips displaying bared fangs and the backdrop of an arching wall of wisdom fire, this statue is laden with the dynamic imagery that makes wrathful deities so breathtaking to behold. The way her earrings float above her shoulder blades, instead of resting on them, even though the latter would have been easier from a production stand point, just shows that no corners were cut in the process of bringing yet another masterpiece from the Himalayan mountains of Nepal straight to your own shrine.
